Critical Thinking
Critical Thinking is the ability to analyze information and not accept everything as true. It helps us ask questions, compare ideas, and make better decisions. Media Literacy is the skill we use to understand and evaluate messages from media, like social networks, news, videos, and ads.
As publicity students, we have to understand how media works, because people see information every day. We must identify when a message wants to influence us, and we should check if the information is true or not. Also, we should try to understand the purpose of each message.
These two skills are very important today. They help us recognize fake news, think carefully before sharing something, and create responsible content. Even if they are not only for publicity, they help us be more conscious and critical when we see or produce media.
